Hundreds of America's top youth volunteers were honored Monday. Two of them were from Oklahoma.

16-year-old Kyle Alderson of Muldrow received the Prudential Spirit of Community award Monday in Washington DC. He is the founder of a reading mentorship program that pairs high school students with elementary students who are struggling to learn to read.

12-year-old Alyssa Latty from Kiowa was also honored. She created "Kids Singing for Kids", a one day public singing event that raised thousands of dollars to benefit children living in shelters.

Congratulations to both of them.
