(Tahlequah-AP) -- State officials and a special prosecutor will meet this week to discuss their investigation of Cherokee County Commissioner Maxie Thompson.
Dana Webb of the state Auditor's and Inspector's Office says the inquiry could be over in the next few weeks.
Officials began last month to investigate allegations of 45-hundred gallons of missing county-owned fuel.
Webb says questions have arisen about other county business since then.
No charges have been filed.
Thompson has denied doing anything wrong.
