NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Big 12 champion Texas was made the No. 1 seed Sunday at an NCAA regional tournament to be played at the University of Oklahoma.
The Longhorns (48-11), who won the league's regular-season and tournament titles, will begin play against Army (30-17-1) at noon Thursday.
Host Oklahoma (45-14) is the No. 2 seed and will play Utah (30-34) at 2:30. The other game has third-seeded Texas A&M (38-16) playing Arkansas (32-26) at 5 p.m..
The winners of the eight regional tournaments advance to the NCAA Women's College World Series, which runs May 23-27 in Oklahoma City.
