63 dogs recovered from west Tulsa home

A dog bust in west Tulsa Monday afternoon. 63 dogs have been taken from one home. The dogs were kept inside all day and have destroyed the inside of the home at 5416 W Charles Page.

Neighbors had no idea how many dogs were there. Officials say the animals were well fed but some were sick from the surroundings. The house was smeared with feces throughout. Bryan Jeffries, Tulsa Animal Shelter Veterinarian, "Most of them look like they're pretty well fed, some are skinny, and most look like they have resipitory infections, the ammonia in there is pretty strong, but I think for the most part they're in decent condition."

The owner of the dogs is Marvin Dampf. He was arrested on Friday and ordered jailed for not paying child support.

The dogs are in the custody of the SPCA and the animal shelter. Officials say most are healthy enough to be adopted.
