SCHOOL zone enforcement continues this summer

Updated:
School may be out for summer, but that doesn't mean it's okay to put the pedal to the metal in school zones. The Tulsa Police department is warning motorists there are some schools that go year-round. Police plan to monitor these locations and will be stopping people caught speeding. If you get caught speeding in a school zone, here's how much you can expect to pay. For up to ten miles an hour over the posted limit, the officer will write you a ticket for $80. 11 to 12 miles per hour over the posted limit, it’s a $105 fine. 13 to 14 miles, the fine is $130, and 15 miles an hour over the speed limit requires a court appearance.
