(Memphis-AP) -- The NBA's Vancouver Grizzlies will move their basketball operations department to Memphis on Saturday.
Grizzlies general manager Billy Knight tells the Memphis newspaper The Commercial Appeal he's not sure when the N-B-A will decide on the team's request to relocate to Memphis. But he says team owner Michael Heisley is ordering the move because he feels certain the request will be approved.
NBA officials say a decision will come soon.
Knight says the Grizzlies have a busy schedule ahead and want to get to work in Memphis as soon as possible.
Starting Sunday, the Grizzlies will hold individual workouts in Memphis with potential draft picks, including Michigan State's Jason Richardson and high schoolers Eddy Curry and Kwame Brown.
The Peabody Hotel in Memphis will be the team's draft night headquarters June 27th.
