GUTHRIE, Okla. (AP) _ A woman opened fire at law officers Tuesday after leading them on a chase through rural Oklahoma and Logan counties.
Karen Holloway, 36, who also goes by Karen Coyle and Karen Johnson, was arrested on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill, Oklahoma County Sheriff's Capt. Rickey Barrow said.
The chase began after sheriff's deputies tried to stop Holloway in far northwest Oklahoma City. She was wanted on warrants for violation of two suspended sentences, Barrow said.
The chase went through the towns of Deer Creek and Crescent, then the woman went east on Oklahoma 51.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol used stop sticks near Oklahoma 51 and U.S. 77 to stop the woman. She fired three rounds as she got out of the vehicle, Barrow said.
A trooper fired one shot in return and the woman surrendered, he said. She was being held in the Logan County jail.
