DENTON, Texas (AP) _ Former Dallas Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin was indicted Thursday on a charge of possessing less than a gram of cocaine stemming from an arrest last summer.
The indictment was returned by a Denton County grand jury.
Irvin was arrested Aug. 9 at a North Dallas apartment where law officers said they found marijuana and other drugs.
Irvin's attorney, Howard Shapiro, told Dallas-Fort Worth radio station WBAP that ``the fight is on.'' Shapiro said his client planned to plead innocent and ask for a jury trial.
