BIXBY, Okla. (AP) _ Two former municipal employees have been charged with embezzling more than $103,000 from the city during a 17-month period.
Former administrative assistant Deborah Lynn Todoroff, 51, and ex-City Clerk Vicki Robinson were charged Friday with embezzlement by a public officer.
Court documents indicate that Todoroff, working with Robinson, misappropriated and failed to account for $103,849 between Jan. 1, 1996, and June 30, 1998.
Todoroff reportedly made false entries for those monies, which came into her possession by virtue of her duty to collect money and make deposits for the city, according to court records.
Robinson knowingly participated in the conversion by ``aiding and abetting and depositing substantial sums of cash from the city of Bixby into her checking account,'' court records say.
Prosecutors charged the pair with embezzlement of public funds, also a felony.
