The Mayor's Meth Summit is schedule for September 19th at the Tulsa Convention Center.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Narcotics says the number of meth labs seized in Oklahoma increased from ten in 1994 to 946 last year.
Tulsa Mayor Susan Savage says city leaders want to stop the problem before it escalates any further.
A variety of leaders ... among them businessmen, hospital officials, educators and law enforcement officials ... will be invited to attend the event.
But organizers say the general public also is invited to attend the free program, funded through a local law enforcement block grant.
