(Detroit-AP) -- The Detroit Red Wings say new goalie Dominik Hasek appears to be recovering from the virus that landed him in a Czech Republic hospital.
Team spokesman John Hahn says Hasek could be released sometime this week.
The 36-year-old Hasek has been hospitalized in his hometown since July fifth. He was diagnosed with a viral infection.
The Red Wings picked up Hasek on June 30th in a trade with the Buffalo Sabres.
