WASHINGTON (AP) _ Michael Jordan skipped practice on the third day of the Washington Wizards' minicamp to be at the summer basketball camp he runs in Chicago.
``He's entrusted myself and Wes Unseld to hold down the fort,'' Wizards coach Doug Collins said Sunday.
In two days of workouts, however, Collins said Jordan continued to amaze as he pursues a possible comeback this season.
``I can't imagine taking the time that he's taken off. ... He's out here with the rookies, so what else can I say about him. He loves to play,'' Collins said.
Collins insists the Wizards are not being secretive about Jordan's status.
``Michael's working hard, and he's going to see whether or not he can get himself in shape to play,'' he said. ``I don't think there's any secret about that.''
