A historical Tulsa landmark has fallen into disrepair over the past decade. But now the Camelot hotel may be poised to flourish once again.
Marketing manager Larry Kelley says he has several potential buyers who are interested in the property. None say they want to tear it down. In fact, the potential plans include turning the Camelot into senior housing, multi-family housing, or a new hotel. Kelley says he hopes someone buys the property and restores it to its original glory. "Back when this hotel was built, back in the mid 60's, there were only 2 five star luxury hotels in Tulsa. The Mayo downtown and the Camelot."
Kelley says the owners had the Camelot listed at $7 1/2 million, but they've recently cut the price by $2-million. He hopes to have a deal closed on the property sometime this fall.
