OU football schedule

(Norman-AP) -- The Oklahoma football team will play Alabama in Norman next season, one of six home games. OU officials released the 2002 schedule Thursday.

As part of a home-and-home agreement with the Crimson Tide, the Sooners travel to Alabama in 2003.

Other non-conference home games include Texas El-Paso and South Florida. OU opens the season August 31st at Tulsa and then is home for three games against 'Bama, UTEP and South Florida.

The Sooners open conference play October Fifth at Missouri and then are in Dallas the following weekend to play Texas. OU is then home for back-to-back conference games against Iowa State and Colorado.

The Sooners are then on the road for two weeks at Texas A-M and at Baylor. Oklahoma closes out the home schedule November 23rd against Texas Tech. OU's regular season finale will be November 30th in Stillwater against Oklahoma State.
