Broken Arrow firefighters raise record amount for NYC firefighter families

Updated:
Broken Arrow firefighters are pitching in to help the New York City firefighters who died trying to save lives after the terrorist attacks. Officials say they had record-breaking support from the community.

You've probably seen firefighters on street corners for their "fill the boot" campaign. The money usually goes to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and the most they've raised is $20,000. This time, for the East Coast relief effort, they shattered that record, with more than $32,000 raised.

The money will go to the fallen firefighters' families.
