(Undated-AP) -- Oklahoma Representative Brad Carson has been selected as a member of the newly formed Homeland Security Task Force.
The task force is a coalition of Democratic House members that was organized in response to the September 11th terrorist attacks.
The task force will address a wide range of issues relating to protecting Americans and the nation. It will consider airline and travel safety, counter-terrorism, national defense and victims' compensation.
Carson says his appointment is a serious commitment to the security of the U-S. He says he will work with President Bush and others to develop bipartisan solutions to the challenges that face the nation.
