(Chicago-AP) -- Motorola is cutting another 7,000 jobs on top of the 32,000 positions already eliminated this year.
The maker of cell phones and semiconductors also says it expects its fourth straight money-losing quarter during the fourth quarter of the year.
The announcement comes a day after Motorola reported a one-point-four (b) billion-dollar loss from July through September.
The new cuts and forecast were disclosed in a conference call with analysts.
Motorola is a major employer in the Phoenix area.
