Halloween is just around the corner and real life heroes may be the costume of choice.

Retailers say parents are buying firefighter, police, and doctor costumes for their kids this year. They attribute the increase in those to what kids are seeing on television after the recent terrorist attacks.

Stores that usually have 30 or more firefighter costumes now have only one left. And once they're gone, it's too late to order more. Sacheen Platten, owner of Spot Lite Magic, "after about the beginning of September it's very unlikely that you're gonna get any more product in. so when we're out we're out." Retailers suggest buying your costume early before supplies of hero outfits run out.

One face you won't see is that of terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden. Stores say they've received calls from people asking about Bid Laden masks-but there just aren't any. They say it takes months to manufacture masks and that wasn't a popular choice when ordering took place earlier this year. Besides, they say even if it was available they wouldn't sell them.
