(Orlando, Florida-AP) -- Oklahoma All-American linebacker Rocky Calmus is again among the 12 linebackers nominated for the Butkus Award.

The group under consideration began with 69 players last summer and will be reduced on November 15th to three finalists.

Calmus was one of the three finalists last season but didn't win the award that's given by the Downtown Athletic Club of Orlando to the nation's top linebacker.

The award is named for College and Pro Football hall-of-famer Dick Butkus, who will present the award to the winner on December Seventh.
