(Norman-AP) -- Oklahoma center Jennifer Cunningham won't play for the Sooners this season. Cunningham suffered the fourth knee injury of her career in pre-season workouts and decided not to suit up for OU this season.
She tore the ACL in her right knee for the second time in conditioning drills. Cunningham also has torn the ACL in her left knee twice. In three years at O-U, Cunningham missed 19 games with knee injuries ... including 15 last season.
Coach Sherri Coale says the team will miss Cunningham, but the Sooners have proven they can win without her. Coale says Cunningham will remain active in the program.
