Two Bartlesville students suspended following assault at school

Two students have been suspended and supervision increased at Bartlesville Mid-High School following after a reported assault on a student.

Authorities say a 9th-grade student was attacked by several older boys in an unsupervised locker room following a weightlifting class. It happened October 8th. Students reportedly held down the victim while another student, unclothed, sat on the victim's face.

This assault follows a similar incident at Tulsa's Webster High School last month. Five juveniles were charged with rape by instrumentation, three other students are facing charges of misdemeanor assault and battery.

No criminal charges were filed in the Bartlesville case because the victim declined to prosecute.
