The University of Oklahoma has dedicated the $24-million Shusterman Center at 41st and Yale. OU president David Boren led the dedication, and talked with supporters about the types of programs the new campus will offer.
It's a graduate based facility and currently has nearly 1,500 students. Boren says OU has been in Tulsa for 28 years, but never had a facility quite like this. David Boren: OU President: "We've been spread out all over the community, more than a dozen places and now that we're gonna be able to bring all those talented people together under one roof the impact we can have on the community is really tremendous.â€
The center will have degrees in the medical field, telecommunications, business and more.
