OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Patrons in Okmulgee and Pawnee counties approved bond issues by wide margins, while only 19 votes separated the ``yes'' and ``no'' votes in Creek County.

In Creek County, patrons voted 2,532 for and 2,513 against a one-cent sales tax increase. The increase would last for 12 years and raise money for a new $10 million jail, highway improvements and law enforcement.

Cleveland residents voted 588 (69 percent) in favor of and 253 (31 percent) against a $4.9 million bond issue that would pay for a new elementary school and other improvements.

In Henryetta voters approved a $1.1 million bond measure for constructing, equipping, repairing and remodeling school buildings, on a 730-161 vote.
