Officials are still trying to track down an escaped convict who is wanted for killing a 71-year-old Tulsa man.

Police say JB Cole is a suspect in the beating death of Donald Green Sr. Authorities believe Cole may be in the area southern Ohio or Eastern Kentucky. They say Cole was spotted in Kentucky Thursday night, near the Kentucky River. That's where Green's body was found Wednesday. They've been searching the area all afternoon.

Authorities in southern Ohio say they are on alert because Cole has family in the area. Mark Kentall with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio, "We have information that he's been floating back and forth between Kentucky and Adams County for about a week." Authorities are still trying to determine where and when Green was killed, but believe he was alive when taken from Tulsa. An autopsy found Green died of blunt force trauma.

Cole's girlfriend Kim Gilbert and daughter Brandy Roberts are being held as material witnesses. Gilbert is in an Ohio jail, her daughter in a Kentucky jail. In addition, the Tulsa County DA's office Friday afternoon, filed a posession of a stolen vehicle charge against both women. The DA's office also filed a first degree murder charge against 15-year-old Mitchell Roberts as well. A similar charge of first degree murder was filed against JB Cole earlier in the week.
