Eufaula area residents want their water turned back on

Updated:
Residents of the Castaway Cove subdivision near Eufaula may get their water turned back on this week.

As we told you last week, the supplier to the 70 homes turned off the tap because their bill had not been paid for three months. Residents say they paid their bills to the community manager on time, but he never paid the water company.

Manager Mike Jones says a water main break caused the bill to jump thousands of dollars, and he couldn't pay it. Each resident kicked in an extra $25 last week to get the water turned back on.
