Memphis, Tennessee-AP) -- Former Oklahoma State basketball star Bryant Reeves will miss the rest of the NBA season because of chronic back pain.
Reeves played only briefly during the pre-season and has not played during the regular season.
Reeves, known as ``Big Country,'' was the first player drafted by the Vancouver Grizzlies in the 1995 NBA draft and is the team's career leader in games played. The franchise moved from Vancouver to Memphis before the start of the current NBA season.
Grizzlies general manager Billy Knight calls the condition very serious and unfortunate.
