Some tense moments when a man gets in a standoff with Tulsa Police. The standoff started around ten o'clock Tuesday night at the Meadows Apartments at 2906 S 115th East Avenue.

Police say a man fired a shot into the air. His common law wife was afraid for her safety so she ran off, and called police. The concern was for three children ages two months to three years old who were still inside. After two hours, the man gave up peacefully. Tulsa Police Capt Nick Hondros, "The children were fine, the children were awake when their mother fled the apartment but at midnight they were asleep and they were unharmed and the mother is now taking care of the children."

Police arrested 33-year-old Jose Castaneda and recovered a gun. He faces drug and weapons charges.
