Tulsa firefighters are putting their life saving skills to the test. For the first time, two of the departments most technical teams are working together on new training ground.

Tulsa's Hazmat Unit and a rescue company trained Thursday night. In this scenario, they battle a chemically explosive situation where a victim is trapped. Crews say with the right training, situations like this can be managed successfully. Tulsa Fire training officer, Mitch Pate, "And that hasn't been done before and not even a city for the size of Tulsa, but in bigger cities, that’s a pretty unique thing."
