A soldier from Jenks has found himself on the front lines, and seen in action on TV.
During our noon Newscast Wednesday, Sergeant Billy Brashears popped up on the screen. He was part of the latest report on Operation Anaconda.
A CBS News field crew spoke candidly with the 23-year-old soldier. Brashears brief appearance quickly caught the attention of area relatives, including his grandmother, Sharon Brashears. "I don't really care what he's saying, just to hear his voice and se him and know that he's alright that's all."
Billy Brashear's earned his sergeant’s stripe with the US Army's Delta Company, First Battalion. His family doesn't know when his tour of duty will be complete.
