Report: Cowboys appear ready to sign Allen

(Irving-AP) -- The Dallas Cowboys reportedly are poised to ink Pro Bowl guard Larry Allen to a six-year, 37 (M) million-dollar contract extension.

Unidentified sources tell The Dallas Morning News that the deal includes a signing bonus of just under 12 (M) million dollars.

The newspaper reports the deal's expected to be signed today, making Allen one of the highest-paid offensive linemen in N-F-L history.

The 30-year-old veteran has been selected to the Pro Bowl seven times and was part of the Cowboys' last two Super Bowls.
