Traffic fatalities in Oklahoma down during first month

(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The number of traffic fatalities in Oklahoma is down by 15 so far this year.

The state Department of Public Safety says 13 people have died on the state's roadways during January, down from 28 at this time last year.

A total of 711 people died in accidents on Oklahoma roads during 2002, up from 682 traffic fatalities in 2001.
