More Oklahoma troops are answering the call to duty. More than 200 National Guardsmen from the 120th engineering battalion gathered in Okmulgee to begin their processing.
They'll head to Camp Gruber for the weekend to make sure everything is in order such as health records, legal affairs, and finances. Some say while the deployment is a hard reality, it's their duty.
National Guard soldier, Russell Foust, "It's what we've been trained for all these years and I've been in over 18 years and whatever we have to do to defend our country."
Early next weekend they'll go to Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri to await further orders. The battalion performs a variety of tasks from road construction to breeching mining fields.
