Updated:

(Toronto-AP) -- Oklahoma City native Joe Carter is now a member of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.

Carter played for the Toronto Blue Jays, helping the team to two World Series titles. A street is named in his honor near the Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.

Others elected are Canadian pitcher Kirk McCaskill and administrator Richard Belec.

All-time baseball hit leader Pete Rose was not elected. Rose got career hit number four-thousand while playing with the Montreal Expos in 1984.
