Tulsa's football team is losing one player to baseball and gaining one from baseball.

The Golden Hurricane will be without the services of former starting quarterback Tyler Gooch, who has decided to transfer to Oklahoma to play baseball.

T-U is gaining a freshman safety in Shannon Carter, who played six years in minor-league baseball and is second cousin to former major league ball player Joe Carter.

Shannon Carter says he will have the time of his life playing football.

His high school coach, Rocky Carter, says he has tremendous potential to play football.
