(McAlester-AP) -- The discovery of black mold has closed a child development center in McAlester.
Officials say the center at the McAlester Army Ammunition plant was evacuated on Wednesday. The evacuation was ordered as a precaution after mold was disocvered in a water closet at the center.
Mark Hughes, a public affairs specialist at the plant, says the center serves 28 children. Hughes says there's been no health-related complaints concerning the mold.
The center's will remain closed until further notice. Arrangements have been made to place children in other centers.
