OSU golfer expected to do well at US Amateur Golf Tournament

Updated:
(Oakmont, Pennsylvania-AP) -- When the US Amateur golf tournament starts Monday an Oklahoma State recruit will be among those on the list of golfers to watch.

Casey Wittenberg of Memphis, Tennessee, is expected to do well in the tournament.

Golfweek magazine has ranked Wittenberg as the nation's top amateur.

Oklahoma State has good record in the tournament. Last year former Oklahoma State golfer Hunter Mahan won the tournament.

Mahan, who would have been a senior, turned pro this summer.
