A former state lawmaker says time is running out for a committee to act on building a Tulsa race riot memorial.
Don Ross says the committee stands to lose $1.5-million appropriated for the project. Ross says if there's not something firm by the end of the next legislative session, the money will be spent elsewhere. $2-million has been appropriated, but little has been spent.
A $20-million campaign to build the museum is planned for later this year.
