US Senator Jim Inhofe was in Baghdad last week, just miles away from the UN offices when the car bomb went off.
He wasn't hurt and Monday morning he was in Tulsa and talked about the experience. "When we made our exit it was in armored cars and to a helicopter that was waiting there all fired up. Then we made it to the Baghdad airport where we got into a C130, then during the diversionary tactics and taking off. It was kind of exciting."
Inhofe was in Baghdad getting a first hand look at military efforts to rebuild the country.
