Supporters of the Vision 2025 plan say it will help area school districts

Updated:
Area school officials are hoping a portion of the Vision 2025 package will help them make ends meet.

Reading might be fundamental, but some educators say funding for books continues to lag. With Vision 2025, schools wouldn't have to choose between books and other needs. Administrators could use their Vision money to pay the book bill and use state dollars to pay for programs that might be cut. Lloyd Snow, Sand Springs Superintendent: "we're real hopeful that we can put $550,000 back into our school that'll help kids and when its about kids I'm for it."

Education is on the same part of the ballot with health care, the arena, and renovation to Expo Square. The Vision tax increase vote is September 9th.

The News on 6 will broadcast our own forum on the Vision plan Sunday night, September 7th.
