Lawsuit against Vision 2025 ballot questions filed

A legal hurdle is trying to stop next month's vote on the Vision 2025 plan. Former city councilor Todd Huston has filed a lawsuit to block the September 9th election.

He believes the four questions on the ballot violate the "single subject" rule of the Oklahoma constitution because they represent multiple projects.

Attorneys who drafted the ballot say all of the items are directly tied to economic development. They're confident the ballot complies with state law.

In a news release received by the News on 6, County Commissioner Bob Dick says he's sorry about this turn of events. He says desperate people take desperate measures.

A status conference on the case is set for next Tuesday in Tulsa County District Court.
