Small businesses say new Oklahoma sales tax law means more paperwork

Updated:
Small business owners aren't happy with a new law requiring them to pay sales taxes twice a month, instead of once a month.

They say the state law is going to wreak havoc. Under the law, businesses owing $2,500 or more in monthly sales taxes must pay twice a month. But business owners say the law reduces their cash flow and could mean higher prices on goods they sale.

They say it will create more paperwork, more bill hours from their accountants and more hassle. The law takes effect October 1st.
