Tulsa Public School students head back to the classroom. They're the last district in the area to return to school.
Many Oklahoma school districts started as early as three weeks ago. But in an effort to save money, the Tulsa School district has opted to start later. The change in start dates last year meant hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings.
Unlike a year ago, there's been little controversy over everything from class sizes to changes in bus routes.
And students at Booker T Washington High School return to a brand new school. The $25-million facility has been under construction for three years. It was funded with a bond issue passed several years ago.
