A Tulsa teen is safe following a carjacking and kidnapping late Tuesday night. It happened at an apartment complex near 5800 South Peoria around 9:30 PM.
Tulsa Police say the driver of an SUV and his passenger were surrounded by a group of people. Before the driver knew it, the suspects pulled a gun. Tulsa Police officer: â€œAt some point there was a conversation, a gun was produced. The driver said the suspect turned the vehicle off, produced a gun and held it to his head and told him to exit the vehicle.â€
Tulsa Police say the suspect drove the vehicle for about 20 minutes with the passenger still inside. The vehicle was recovered in the same apartment complex, and the kidnapped teen is okay. Investigators are going through the vehicle checking for fingerprints and other evidence.
No one has been arrested.
