OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Gov. Brad Henry will travel to Washington, D.C. Friday to attend the funeral of former President Ronald Reagan.
Services will be held at the Washington National Cathedral and officiated by the newly nominated U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, former U.S. Sen. John Danforth, who is an Episcopal minister.
``It is an honor to represent the state of Oklahoma in paying final respects to a true American icon,'' Henry said in a statement. ``Ronald Reagan will be remembered for his graceful leadership, his sunny optimism, his patriotism and his success in ending the Cold War. This is a time to reflect on his considerable legacy.''
Also on Monday, Henry issued an executive order directing all American flags and Oklahoma flags on state property to fly at half-staff for 30 days.
The popular 40th president died Saturday at his California home at the age of 93.
