Tulsa Police are investigating a body found on the banks of the Arkansas River Thursday night. The man was found around 9 PM lying partially in the river near 86th and Riverside Drive. Firefighters were called in to help retrieve the body.
They say two men were seen in the river. The death appears to be an accident. Tulsa Fire Captain Hubert Rouse: "What we are hearing is they were possibly fishing, doing some noodling down there at the river and the person got in trouble and became a drowning victim is what it appears to be right now."
Authorities found the man's friend walking away from the scene. Police are questioning that man.
The victim's name hasn't been released.
