(Denver-AP) -- Quarterback John Elway is using his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame to reconcile with former coach Dan Reeves.

Elway famously sparred with Reeves during his tenure with the Denver Broncos. But the healing began when Elway invited Reeves to his August-8 induction.

Reeves, who went on to coach the Atlanta Falcons, coached Elway for 10 of the quarterback's 16 years in the NFL. Their relationship strained after three Super Bowl losses from 1987 to 1990.

The two faced off when the Broncos defeated the Falcons in the 1999 Super Bowl.

Elway says he never considered NOT inviting Reeves to the ceremony, saying (QUOTE) ``time heals everything.''

Reeves says he was thrilled to be invited and called Elway a great player.
