(Norman-AP) -- The University of Oklahoma softball coaching staff has been named this year's Speedline NFCA Midwest Coaching Staff of the Year.
This is the fourth time in the last five years OU has received the award.
OU won the national coaching staff award for the first in the year 2000 when it won the program's first national championship.
OU head coach Patty Gasso says she credits the positive attitudes of the players throughout the season.
Oklahoma made its fifth consecutive appearance in the Women's College World Series this year.
They tied for 5th place.
