Tulsa Police working to solve a June murder

Tulsa Police are looking for new leads in what detectives describe as one of the city's most vicious murders.

24-year-old Vickie Knight, the mother of a toddler was found June 5th, her body violently stabbed and mutilated inside the check cashing store where she worked. A reward is being offered for information, but family members fear it's not enough to bring someone forward. So they're hitting the streets, collecting donated items they hope to turn into information, by selling them and adding the proceeds to the reward fund.

Family members say they won't be able to properly grieve until the killer is caught. Victim’s sister Sally Cannon: "It'll never bring her back; it'll never bring her back. Just justice basically, my fear is whoever did this to her is still out there and if they catch this person then at least he won't be able to do it to somebody else."

The family plans to hold the fundraising sale on weekends in August, but is still looking for donations and a location. If you'd like to help, they can be reached at 865-5075.

Anyone with information about the crime can leave an anonymous tip at 596-COPS.
