BOSTON (AP) -- Governor Brad Henry says he's excited to participate in the convention process this week at the Democratic National Convention in Boston.

Henry will be part of Oklahoma's delegation to the convention, which begins today at the FleetCenter.

Henry says he's always encouraged people to be active in the political process and he considers conventions to be the "heart and soul" of the election process.

Henry says he expects to hear messages about education, health care and job creation, which all interest him.

Henry's wife and three children also made the trip to Boston to enjoy the historic sights, including Boston Harbor, the USS Constitution and Paul Revere's house.
