A Tulsa soldier in Mosul, Iraq says she's safe. And her parents saw for themselves Monday in a satellite interview arranged by the News on 6.

Specialist Nicole Hollingsworth is an Army reservist from Tulsa. She talked with her parents Monday from Iraq - and told them some of what she's been doing. â€œI went to a school that's all women and up until now a lot of women couldn't go to school and they were going to go to school for English and I was the first American they were able to see and it was so neat, they were so happy to see a woman in uniform.â€œ

Specialist Hollingsworth's parents hope she gets to come home sometime next year.
